Step 1: Need To First Safety
A trash pump is a work only to move the water that is not for human consumption. If you are pumping flammable liquids, it could cause an eruption.
And while you are pumping acids, chemical solutions or any other corrosive liquid can damage it. So, before using the trash pump, make sure you know how to use it properly. And, when you have an emergency, you also need to understand how to shut it off.
When you leave the area, you always keep in mind; you need to shut it off. Before starting the motor, you need to recall the pump in a well-ventilated area. And from the engine always keep sparks and flame. You are still using the trash pump in an enclosed space because of carbon dioxide buildup from the exhaust, which can be harmful.
After all, when you shut down your trash pump, then the engine and muffler are hot. So, at this time, don’t touch here because If you feel your hand can have severe burns.
Step 2: Features/ Control- Where Is Everything?
On the model label side, the oil filler cap is near the bottom by the pump housing. And, it’s drain plug is directly below the engine base near.
And, it’s discharge port is at the upper right. On the facing side of this trash pump, you need to look very carefully. You can see the fuel tank is on the left side, and the priming tank is on the right side. Now you need to look at the starter side. The carburetor is fixed on the left. And the water should be less than the height between the pump and the discharge hose. In the priming time also reduce the smaller elevation change and the shorter suction hose.
Step 4: Need To Hose Installation
Using the included filter, you should be attached to the suction hose. Hose and the hose coupler will need to be provided with a sealing washer. Then you need to install the washer and hose coupler on the pump inlet with the hook circle. Now, using the provided clamp firmly attached the filter to the inlet end of the suction hose.
You can attach the discharge hose to the discharge port by using the hook. The discharge hose and discharge port both items will need to be provided for the pump. The discharge port and the suction on the WT20 are two inches, like (60 mm) in diameter.
Step 5: Preparing The Pump
After the attached hoses, you need to remove the filler cap found on this trash pump top. And when the end of this work you can reinstall the pump cap. Also, the pump is running without priming it first can ca; use heat buildup. And, it can destroy the pump seal.

So, once the trash pump engine runs, move the throttle to “fast” to prime the pump. If the water is flowing after through the pump, push the throttle tower “Fast” to increase the pump speed. And, when it is moving is low, decrease it.
Step 8: Stopping The Engine
If you have an emergency, you can switch off the engine immediately by turning the ignition switch—”OFF.”
